Recover your account
If you forgot your password, you can reset it with your email (or recovery phone) and one of your recovery codes. A reset gets you back into your account, but end-to-end encrypted data locked with the old password stays unreadable.
Reset your password
- On the sign-in card, choose Forgot password?.
- Enter your Email or username and choose how to receive the instructions: Email or Text message. Then choose Send instructions.
- If an account matches, we send instructions to its confirmed email or phone. They expire in 30 minutes.
- Open the link (or enter the code from the text message).
- On Choose a new password, enter one of your recovery codes. It is required for accounts with two-factor authentication, which is practically every account.
- Enter your new password twice and choose Reset password.
- Sign in with your new password. All your other sessions are signed out.
Important: encrypted data
Mail, Drive, Pass and your other end-to-end encrypted data are locked with your old password. A reset gets you back into your account, but that data stays unreadable unless you remember the old password. Recovery codes do not decrypt it. This is the price of encryption that Arisrv itself cannot open.
If you still know your password and only want a new one, use Security centre → Change password instead: that keeps your encrypted data.
If you lost your second factor and all your recovery codes
There is no self-service way back in that case. If your account belongs to an organization, ask your organization's administrator; otherwise contact Arisrv support at [email protected].
Prevent problems
- Keep your latest recovery codes somewhere safe and offline.
- Add a second factor you can't easily lose, such as a passkey.
